New laboratories and office building

Designed and executed by NFOE, the Innovation Center of adMare, located at Technoparc Montreal, was completed in the spring of 2021. The new three-story building, covering approximately 55,000 square feet, can accommodate over 200 scientists. The project includes turnkey laboratories for chemistry and biology, as well as offices for professionals in the life sciences sector.

In 2023, the building obtained LEED® v4 certification, authenticating the reduced environmental impact of this project. The NFOE team put forward the following innovative solutions:

• Management of stormwater using ecological infrastructure;
• Reduction in water consumption through rainwater harvesting by nearly 40%;
• Optimization of the overall energy performance of the building;
• Reduction of parking footprint and mitigation of heat islands.

adMare is a pan-Canadian organization established in 2019 following the merger of CDRD and Néomed, with a shared vision to be catalysts for the Canadian life sciences industry. Working from coast to coast and on a global scale, adMare's primary mission is to foster the creation of new enterprises based on its leadership in Canadian university research.
