CERVO Brain Research Center
The CERVO research center of the Institut Universitaire en Santé Mentale du Québec (IUSMQ) is affiliated with Université Laval and occupies part of the Robert-Giffard complex, built in 1885. The Robert-Giffard complex has undergone numerous expansions. The project, with a total surface area of 5780 m2, includes Phase 1b) the transformation of the laundry pavilion (S Pavilion) into the CERVO University mental health research platform, including a medical imaging clinic, as well as Phase 1a): the construction of a 3-story extension to link the S and F Pavilions of the Institute IUSMQ, and create an assembly point and space to exchange knowledge for researchers, specialists, and patients. The extension includes a public atrium, distributing traffic between the two pavilions (F and S) and serving as a multifunctional hall for a new amphitheater. The upper floors of the extension house the personalized medicine clinical areas.
