Centre of Excellence in Thrombosis and Anticoagulation
The Center of Excellence in Thrombosis and Anticoagulation, situated on the 3rd floor of Pavilion B, has been developed on the foundation of the successful thrombosis program led by Dr. Susan Kahn at the Jewish General Hospital. This program has established the reputation of the Jewish General Hospital as an international leader in patient care, education, and research in this critical field.
This project aimed to create a proposal that leveraged the existing building's triangular and unconventional configuration while enabling a functional layout of services and a harmonious overall design. Divided into two zones by a large curved blue wall, the area accessible to the public is intended to be calm and bright. The second zone, dedicated to physician offices, reflects a collaborative approach with its coffee corner intersecting the circulation paths, whiteboard surfaces, and glass-walled offices. This transparency allows natural light to permeate deep into the heart of the space.
