Deirdre Ellis
Senior Principal, Project Director

Deirdre Ellis has worked at NFOE since 2010 and became a partner in 2018. She possesses extensive experience in various types of projects, notably in the fields of healthcare, sciences, and technology, as well as institutional buildings, with an emphasis on sustainable design. Ms. Ellis led the design team for the Department of Pathology and Clinical Laboratories at the new Glen campus of the McGill University Health Centre. She also served as the project coordinator and LEED consultant for the Canadian High Arctic Research Station, the first LEED-certified project in the Arctic. Deirdre has also contributed to several feasibility studies and functional program developments. She has worked on numerous projects for the federal government and has a strong background in applying institutional guidelines related to code compliance and green building certification. Working closely with multidisciplinary teams as a sustainable design specialist, she leads collaborative workshops as part of an integrated design process.
