Expansion and redevelopment of clinic-schools
A Transformative Pavilion for Student Life and a Sustainable Future
This project involves the construction of a new five-storey, 13,865 m² building on the campus of Cégep Édouard-Montpetit in Longueuil. The pavilion will bring together student services, including an agora and food services, a center for pedagogical innovation, and four teaching clinics: oral health care, medical imaging, visual orthotics, and health services.
The project is designed to achieve BCZ, WELL Gold, and LEED Silver certifications.
Built on a constrained site, the new pavilion is anchored by a public outdoor plaza that enhances the campus experience. New pedestrian bridges will connect the building to the Sports Centre on one side and to Wing C of the Cégep on the other, while a circulation corridor through the pavilion will replace the existing bridge and ensure seamless movement across the campus.
Centrally positioned, the pavilion will serve as the new main entrance to the campus and a central hub for student services, particularly the agora. Spaces vacated by the relocation of the teaching clinics will be repurposed into instructional classrooms.
