Dubrovsky molecular pathology centre

With the launch of its new Molecular Pathology Center, the JGH takes a significant step forward in developing personalized medicine in Quebec. Molecular pathology reinvents cancer treatment by paving the way for personalized medicine. Instead of applying a generic treatment such as chemotherapy doctors start by analyzing the tumor's molecular profile to identify its unique characteristics called biomarkers, which reveal its vulnerabilities.

This center is the third largest in Canada. It includes biomarker research laboratories, laboratories for developing PCR-related techniques, and molecular diagnostics laboratories, and also has an educational component with over 30 residents or students on site. Several support facilities complement the spaces, including a freezer room, a cryogenics room, and rooms equipped with robotic devices.
